Kip Stone
American Kip Stone, owner and skipper of Artforms has logged more than 50,000 miles offshore on vessels of all sizes. Artforms is the culmination of a long-term dream for Kip, and the result of nearly 15 years hard work to build his company in Westbrook, Maine.

Tim Sadler
New Zealand native Tim Sadler was Owen Clarke Design's lead designer for the build, designing primary mechanical systems such as the canting keel, daggerboard, and steering. Tim provided McConaghy Boats with the detailed drawings and structural information necessary to build the boat. He joined the team again to prepare Artforms for the 2004 Transat, the 2005 Transat Jacques Vabre, and the 2006 Route du Rhum.
Ryan Finn
Ryan, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, has been part of the KSOpen50 team since 2005, when the team prepared Artforms for the Bermuda 1-2 and the Transat Jacques Vabre. Ryan has over 20,000 open ocean miles under his belt. He has placed in the top 5 in several recent races, including the Singlehanded Transpac, the Transat Jacques Vabre, and the Bermuda 1-2.
Merfyn Owen
Merfyn Owen of Owen Clarke Design was the lead designer in the conceptual and preliminary period. He brings extensive background with the class from his involvement as a designer of Ellen MacArthur's Kingfisher. Merfyn is responsible for the main parameters of the yacht: its hull, sail plan, and appendage design. He partnered with Kip and Artforms to win the 2005 Bermuda 1-2 and place 2nd in the Transat Jacques Vabre.
Caroline Kurrus
Caroline Kurrus manages communications and logistics at home and on the road for the KSOpen50 team. She administers the Web site, publishes news updates and press releases, and keeps the team well-fed when in race mode.
